On March 17, the 2026 Glorious Laser Award (GLA) ceremony, hosted by the Laser Processing Professional Committee of the Chinese Optical Society, was grandly held in Shanghai. Thanks to its technological achievement—“a domestically developed, low-power Fceo detector for industrial-grade optical frequency combs”—Haomin Optoelectronics stood out among numerous entrants and successfully won the “ 2026 Laser Golden Glory Award – New Product Award ”。
| Crowned with Glory, Shining the Future
As the premier award in China’s laser industry, the 2026 Laser Golden Brilliance Award aims to identify cutting-edge technologies, innovative products, and pioneering applications that demonstrate forward-thinking vision, groundbreaking innovation, and industry leadership. This year’s submissions underwent rigorous screening through online voting and expert evaluation, ultimately recognizing benchmark achievements that stand out for their superior product quality, performance, innovativeness, safety, flexibility, environmental sustainability, and broad application deployment. Dr. Zhu En, General Manager of Haomin Optoelectronics, attended the awards ceremony and accepted the prize on behalf of the company.

The optical frequency comb, which was awarded the 2005 Nobel Prize in Physics, is one of the revolutionary technologies in the field of optics in the 21st century. At its core lies the detection and locking of the carrier-envelope offset frequency (fceo). For practical applications in precision metrology, there is an urgent need for highly stable, low-power, low-noise, and integrated fceo detectors.
Hunan Haomin Optoelectronics Technology Co., Ltd., in collaboration with the Institute of Semiconductors of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, has undertaken intensive R&D based on the concept of on-chip integration of optical systems. In December 2025, the company unveiled China’s first industrial-grade thin-film lithium niobate (TFLN) FCEO detector, thereby closing the final gap in the domestic supply chain for high-precision frequency combs. This module achieves, for the first time on a single TFLN chip, the generation of supercontinuum spectra, second-harmonic generation (SHG), and beat-frequency detection, realizing “on-chip spectrum broadening and on-chip frequency-doubling detection” of the FCEO signal. Its large-scale deployment will establish a closed-loop system spanning core components and system equipment, ensuring supply-chain security and helping China assume a leading position in global competition in the optical frequency-comb industry.
At the Munich Shanghai Optical Fair held in Shanghai from March 18 to 20, Fceo’s detection module was showcased alongside Haomin Optoelectronics’ all-optical frequency comb products, highlighting their low-power consumption and high-performance characteristics. These solutions provide efficient and reliable core components for optical frequency-comb systems, thereby supporting the practical implementation of precision measurement, time-and-frequency transfer, and other scientific research applications.
| Returning in triumph, forging ahead with determination
Honors reflect past dedication, while unwavering craftsmanship builds the industry’s glory. This award represents the laser industry’s high recognition of Haomin Optoelectronics’ robust technological capabilities. Moving forward, Haomin Optoelectronics will remain committed to addressing core light-source needs in quantum technology and precision measurement, leveraging more forward-looking innovation and cutting-edge research strength to drive domestic substitution and upgrades across the laser industry, and continuously inject fresh momentum into the expansion of the laser research and application market.
